The History of Rip It Labs

Rip It Labs was founded by Tim Cavin in Arizona in 2026 to build AI agents and the infrastructure that holds them accountable. In seven months it went from a first commit to a suite of live products, with its milestones recorded on public blockchains.

Timeline

  1. Rip It Labs LLC is formed

    Organized in Arizona as a limited liability company (Arizona Corporation Commission business ID 25024608).

  2. First code: the Rip It Labs site

    The first Rip It Labs repository is created: the company landing page that grows into ripitlabs.com.

  3. RILfather platform begins

    The RILfather monorepo is created: the AI agent platform every later product is built on.

  4. RILBOT and VoteChain are born

    First commits of RILBOT (the AI agent marketplace), VoteChain and the first wave of suite apps.

  5. Amended and Restated Articles

    Amended and Restated Articles of Organization filed: Tim Cavin and Devon Pakko-Lee are the members.

  6. The oracle goes live on XDC mainnet

    The oracle moves from simulation to real price feeds with on-chain anchoring; XDCOracle.sol is deployed to XDC mainnet.

  7. Oracle contracts verified

    The oracle contract and four AggregatorV3-compatible feed proxies are source-verified on XDCScan.

  8. Native feeds on the XRP Ledger

    Oracle feeds are also published natively to the XRP Ledger mainnet (XLS-47 price oracle).

  9. Carbon registry on testnet

    CarbonRegistry.sol, phase one of the carbon ledger, is deployed to the XDC Apothem testnet.

  10. Singularity, the operator

    Work begins on Singularity: the multi-agent engine that runs the company's departments under the owner's approval.

  11. Oracle SDK published

    The xdchain-oracle package is published to the npm registry.

  12. RIL token deployed

    The RIL token (XRC-20, 1,000,000,000 fixed supply, no mint function) is deployed to XDC mainnet; its source is verified on XDCScan the next day.

  13. SHIELD and CyberStrike

    SHIELD, a defensive receive-only signal-integrity tool, goes live; CyberStrike is rebuilt as a multi-user subscription service.

  14. Carbon proof engine

    The carbon proof engine goes live: proof of retirement and double-count prevention, positioned as a proof rail rather than an exchange.

  15. ProofRail

    ProofRail is built: a chain-neutral proof-of-execution engine and public API, proven on XDC mainnet.

  16. Five chains

    Anchoring rolls out across the suite on five networks: XDC, Base, Hedera, XRP Ledger and Stellar. The oracle is deployed to Base and Hedera.

  17. PayRail proven

    PayRail, an agentic payment rail using x402 and gasless USDC, passes its end-to-end self-test.

  18. RILchain and RILoracle

    Public rebrand: xdcchain becomes RILchain and xdcoracle becomes RILoracle (the old addresses redirect).

  19. Registered federal vendor

    Rip It Labs LLC is registered in SAM.gov as a commercial vendor.

  20. Notarization app and five-chain VoteChain

    The document notarization app launches as a standalone service, and VoteChain anchors on all five chains.

  21. RILDocs

    The notarization app is renamed RILDocs. The company's own intellectual-property records are fingerprinted and anchored with it.

  22. Native Hedera anchoring

    Hedera anchoring moves to the Hedera Consensus Service across the suite.

  23. Unlist

    Unlist, provable data-broker removal, goes live.

  24. RIL Warden

    RIL Warden is built and goes live: a jail for AI agents and a flight recorder for everything they do.

  25. Warden 0.2

    Warden gains multi-tenant workspaces, zero-dependency SDKs, a console, an MCP server and a Kubernetes lockdown.

  26. Warden internal pilot

    Rip It Labs routes its own agents' outbound traffic through Warden in an internal pilot.

  27. Warden IP records anchored

    The Warden invention records (including a provisional patent application draft for counsel) are anchored on five chains through RILDocs.
